The digital tachograph

The time saved significantly increases cost-effectiveness for the carrier when compared to similar solutions.

Outstanding efficiency

intellic is setting new technical standards in digital tachometers with EFAS. The EFAS was developed with a focus on maximized user friendliness and is proving to be outstandingly efficient in daily use:Reading out and printing the data is quick and easy—saving everybody's time. Unnecessary and annoying waiting times for the driver, companies, workshops and officials when accessing the data are reduced to a minimum. These time savings significantly increase the cost-effectiveness for the user.

Meeting all regulations

Monitoring by EFAS corresponds with the EU regulation 1360/2002 and ISO 16844 by recording the driving and rest periods of the driver, the distance traveled, the vehicle speed and the availability of the co-driver.Chip cards and an internal electronic memory serve to record the data. Special events such as speeding, missing or defective chip cards and attempts at manipulation are detected and recorded automatically. The data is stored to the mass memory in the device itself and on the driver's smartcard. The mass memory has the capacity to record all activities over a period of max. 365 days. Data from the mass memory must be downloaded every 3 months and from the driver's smartcard every 28 days. Both storage media are subject to a legal obligation to preserve data records for 2 years.

The control device

The EFAS device consists of the control device with a two-line LCD display, two slots for the driver and co-driver smartcards, a front-mounted interface for calibration and downloading, a printing module, and 6 operating keys. It can be installed to a standard-sized car stereo slot. Warning alerts can be emitted optically and acoustically, if desired. Optionally the EFAS can be equipped with an infra-red communications sensor.
